Hi, I am Kristen. A heart centred, self-care advocate, certified personal trainer and nutrition coach.
I am also an avid fitness enthusiast, lover of personal development, going deep and finding what motivates you to live your healthiest life.
I love gemstones, crystals, essential oils, mala necklaces, meditation, all things energy, yoga and strength training. A wide variety of interests that all meld together to create me. Someone who really believes were are all connected and one in the same. We are all mirrors to each others pain and happiness. Teachers to each other. I love being able to bring all that I am to my interactions with my clients. An opportunity to help them rise up and beyond all that is possible. An opportunity for my clients to help me rise up and beyond too.
As my experience has grown in the fitness and nutrition industry, I have learned I want my clients to be able to keep up with their children, enjoy activities with their spouse, feel empowered, strong, invincible, accomplished and full of love for themselves. So many can't look at themselves in a mirror. I hope to be one more tool in their tool box to created a more loving outlook on their self-image and ultimately their life.
A special interest area of mine is hormone health. Truthfully, my hormone changes kicked me in the butt and because I believe in striving for optimal health, I continually sought out knowledge on how to feel better. Because of this I have learned a lot and love educating my clients on the things they can do to live their best life. I gained 20 lbs at the start of my Menopause journey, something I had never experienced before, and I really struggled with what to do. I mean I am a personal trainer and nutrition coach, surely I know what to do! I didn't! I didn't know my body in the way I used to. It wasn't until I hired my own coach that I discovered there are no magic pills, diets or gimmicks. Simply a focus on structure & consistency. I now focus on resistance training and macronutrients - All of them! No low carb, No carb eating plans over here. I lost the 20 lbs, gained a ton of muscle and feel confident again.
I no longer personal train, but instead focus on the nutrition health of my clients. How we feed our bodies is so important and impacts every other aspect of our lives. I definitely understand the aging process as I'm in it myself. I am now four years post-menopausal and have kept the weight off. I achieved this with structure & consistency with my workouts and my food. No gimmicks, no diets!
